The 2nd annual GIRLS WHO ROCK concert benefiting She’s the First, a New York-based nonprofit, will fundraise for the sponsorship of girls at the Arlington Academy of Hope in Uganda, where less than 25% of girls graduate secondary school. We launched a Poetry Month campaign with the ultimate goal of sponsoring one year of primary school for a girl in Southern Sudan, via our partner Project Education Sudan. In this region, only one percent of girls finish primary school. The cost for a year of education: only $365.
